The Latthe Education Society was established on 13th June 1951.With aim of widespread of Education. The Institute runs 36 branches through which thousands of students avail the facility of higher Education. The institute has earned name & fame in the field of Education through its flawless endeavors. The institute adheres to its vision & Mission that provides higher Education to socially & economically backward classes.

Shri.Shantinath .G. Kante is a Chairman of Latthe Education Society and Vice Chairman - Adv.Shri.P.R.Patil, Honorable Secretary - Shri.Suhas.B.Patil are active office bearers of our society.

Considering the need of girls Education in Sangli district. The hon. Ex-chairman of Latthe Education Society Mr. Suresh A. Patil (Ex Mayor) took initiative steps to start Smt. Rajmati Nemgonda Patil kanya Mahavidyalaya. The College was established in June 2002. The college is one of the best source of Education for the girls who are coming from rural & urban surroundings. The college is committed to inculcate versatile skills that are very necessary in competitive world. As it is a girls college, the institute gives more importance to impart value based Education.

Presently, the college offers 2 under graduate courses & 3 certificate courses. It is a well equipped college. It has own laurels for the academic excellence & performance in sports & NSS. The college has also maintained high standards in discipline & in general administration. The administrative body of the institution monitors & supports the activities conducted by faculty & the students

Our college is settled in the heart of the city in cream area which is very convenient to all students to come & fro. The college has three storeyed building consisting all the infrastructure facilities such as library, 12 classrooms, playground, office, internet connection. The main infrastructure has 4032.18 sq meter area. The college library is well furnished & ventilated. Many reference books & textbooks are made available to students. There is a computer centre for all students.

1. To impart education and guidance to the Girl Students of Sangli and surrounding villages.
2. To encourage and develop the students and give boost to their all-round development.
3. To disseminate the knowledge and promote the art and culture in rural and urban areas.
4. To identify and cultivate talent and to train right kind of leadership in every walks of life.
5. To arrange educational facilities in Higher Education to the different working / employed students from the poor sections of the society.
6. To educate and train the girls to self - help and prepare them for self - employment.
7. To encourage them to be self - reliant in education through the 'Earn and Learn scheme'.

In the event of the rapid spread of women’s education and especially in Maharashtra by realizing the urgency of a degree for women at Sangli and the surrounding villages, the Latthe Education Society took a bold step by starting this college on June 2002.

At present the provision of imparting education up to B.A. and B.Com. Degree course is available in this college for the benefit of students.

Many of our students are not from well-to-do families. The college has made ‘student’s welfare fund’ available to such students. Financial help is given to the needy. The college provides all the government scholarships to the socially & economically backward classes. Though the college is fully unaided, it always provides good quality in all terms.

The college provides financial assistance to faculties & students. The IQAC takes initiative steps in motivating the faculties to attend national seminars, Workshops. Guest lectures, workshops, seminars are arranged for student.
